Looks like we've got everything we need.

Miss C. packed up all the essentials: toys, onesies for her bear, blankets and extra diapers in case he makes a "terrible, terrible poop".

Practical girl that she is, she even booked us in a "hotel" that's conveniently located in the next room. Snacks, fresh doll diapers and extra outfits are all just a few steps away.

Breaking News!

There's been a derailment at Toddler City Train Station. Four rail cars veered off course, crashing into the station and causing a number of injuries. Stay tuned for live team coverage at the scene.

Don't look so down.

Those kids won't be at the park much longer. Then she'll come back to play with us.

I promise.

Dolls can't outgrow their clothes, right?

Right?

Then why did Miss C. pack us all up in a bin? And what's all this talk about going out to the garage?

We don't want to collect dust out in the garage with the rest of the baby clothes! We're still useful! There are plenty of naked stuffed animals laying around here, just waiting to be dressed.

Is anyone listening?

Happy Birthday to me!

Check out this awesome birthday cake Miss C. made for me. I hope she gives me the piece with the frosting rose...

Will I ever be whole again?

The kitten isn't lost, but did suffer from a little tear. Thank goodness Miss C.'s mama is handy with craft glue.

I hate waiting for the glue to dry, though. It's hard being apart from one of my pieces for this long. I feel so... incomplete.

Anyone wanna trade?

Miss C. packed me a carrot, a pear, a pickle and an egg. I'm not sure if the egg has been cooked...

That was a close one!

I swear, Miss C.'s mama is just so heartless sometimes. I know she saw me lying on the floor – helplessly, I should add – but she didn't bother to pick me up or move me out of the way when she started up the vacuum. I could have been crushed!

Thank goodness Miss C. spotted me and tucked me into the backpack before I could be sucked up by that big gray monster on wheels.

What will it be today?

Yesterday, we whipped up some diapers for Miss C.'s bears. The day before that we did a few alterations to some clothes she had outgrown.

Today? Who knows what she's got up her sleeve... maybe we'll try out the buttonhole stitch or make some doll clothes. I hope she figures it out soon... the suspense is killing me!

Say "Cheese!"

Miss C. is a budding paparazzo. You should see some of the photos she's taken with me. Let's just say... life is much more interesting from a toddler's perspective.

I hereby call this meeting...

... of the Plush Pals Book Club to order. All members are present and accounted for.

Lamby, you've been nominated to go first tonight. Tell us a little bit about the book you read this week: Three Blind Mice. What did you like best about it? Would you recommend it to the group?

Ransacked... again.

Master W. is a miniature tornado. He tore through, and in a matter of moments managed to pull ever fork, spoon, knife and cooking utensil out.

And the cookies and pie baking in my oven? Gone. Obliterated. Smashed by tiny hands.

This doesn't bode well.

Yes!

It's sample day at Costco!

I sure hope they've got cheesecake samples out today. Mmmmmm...

Where to?

I love going out with Miss C. She takes us to all the best places... Costco, Trader Joe's, church, the park. I can't wait to find out where we're going to today!

She says there's a house in there somewhere.

It's been hours since they cleaned up and left the painting clipped on me to dry.

I still can't find that house.

So much for our day at the park.

She was so excited this morning when her mama told her that she could bring me to the park. They folded me up and she carefully held me in her lap on the wagon ride there.

Two minutes later, she'd forgotten all about me. I was doomed from the start; there's simply no way I can compete with the big slide.

Miss C. is the best.

She's been giving me the royal treatment all afternoon. There was the nice long bath in the sink to get rid of all that gutter water and icky street dirt. Then she wrapped me up in a nice fluffy towel. And I've been cruising around in the shopping cart ever since.

Isn't she awesome?

They came back for me!

I'm soaked and dirty from laying in the gutter, but I don't care. They didn't forget about me... that's all that matters.

Monday, July 5, 2010

I feel so lost.

I fell out of the wagon on the way home from the park... and nobody noticed. I sure hope they come back for me. It's scary out here on this busy street. What if I get hit by a car? Or picked up by a dog? Or worse... what if nobody comes back to get me?

Friday, July 2, 2010

Don't look down. Don't look down. Don't look down.

This play structure is scary tall. And she's left me here at the top. I'm just gonna close my eyes until she gets back...

You ever have one of those dreams...

...where you show up to a party completely naked? Well, I'm living my worst nightmare right now. I'm a completely mortified, utterly naked birthday cake.
