She picked me!

Wow.

I don't know what to say.

There are so many other amazing trees in our yard and Miss C. decided to pick me for her first-ever tree climbing expedition.

It's been an honor.

There, there, now.

No need to fret, Right. Miss C. is just taking a break from her yard work, that's all.

She'll come back for us soon, I promise.

When Miss C. said we were "going out"...

... I thought she meant shopping.

Or out to lunch with Ama and Papa.

Not "out" as in outside where I'd be dragged through who-knows-what all afternoon!

What do you mean you can't read her writing?

Allow me to translate:

Happy Birthday Mommy.

Love,

Mommy

Why she signed it from her mama, I have no idea. What do I know? I'm just the un-birthday card.

We've got live team coverage on the scene...

... of a horrific highway accident involving a monster truck, dump truck and airplane. Police, firefighters and medical crews have responded but have not yet revealed details as to the extent of passenger injuries. We should know more within the hour.

Back to you in the newsroom, Jim.

*Sigh*

Miss C. and I were having so much fun drawing in the car today. Everything was going so well until we got home. She jumped out of the car and forgot all about me when I fluttered to the garage floor.

And now I'm all alone. I just feel so... sad.

Raking 101 is now in session.

Now listen closely, Master W. There are three thing you need to know about raking leaves:

  1. Turn your rake (me) over so that the tines face down. You're never going to rake any leaves with poor form and upturned tines.
  2. Pull your rake toward you. Pushing me around just the pushes leaves around on the ground. We'll never create a pile big enough for Miss C. to jump in if you insist on pushing instead of pulling.
  3. Remember to direct your raking at the leaves. We're going to be here all day if you don't stop pushing me all over the driveway and sidewalk. The leaves are on the grass, not the concrete.
You didn't hear a word I just said, did you?

This is the life.

No work. Nobody pushing me around, telling me what to do. Just a nice, cushy spot to kick back and relax.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I may look soft...

... but looks can be deceiving.

I'm known as Big Bad Brush 'round these parts. Master W. and I wreak all kinds of havok on the furniture, walls and floors. And don't even get me started on dust bunnies - we sneak up on them so fast they don't even know what hit 'em.
